NFALA promotes legal excellence and professional development within our community. Moreover, it works to advance the study and practice of law as well as the administration of social and economic justice. We serve as advocates for the Filipino, Asian American Pacific Island and Native Hawaiian communities across the United States.

With your generous support, NFALA has been able to:

• Collaborate with the NFALA Foundation to provide over $60,000 in law student scholarships including those for LGBTQIA+ Fil-Am students and students wanting enter government or public interest work;
• Execute the Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Embassy to provide educational seminars to Filipino workers newly arriving the United States.
• Collaborate with the Filipino Veterans Recognition and Education Project (FILVETREP)
  to work towards redressing the Rescission Act of 1946 which stripped Filipino veterans of their wartime service benefits to the U.S. during World War Il;
• Support voter protection programs and assist in voter education programs among the Filipino American communities;
• Successfully advocate for inclusion within the judiciary, state attorney general’s office; and various state legislative bodies;
• Support Pinay Powerhouse, a women’s collective focused on empowering Pinay attorneys, future attorneys, and legal professionals as leaders in the law;
• Advocate for AAPINH issues among members of Congress and Congressional
  staffers;
• Represent the Filipino American legal sector within the Filipino American National
  Historical Society: and
• Provide personal and professional development programming including topics related to career development in the public and private sectors, practice-specific issues, financial freedom, health and wellness, and other issues applicable to theFilipino American and AAPIHN community
